The University of Iowa
I graduated from the University of Iowa in May of 2019 with a B.A. in journalism and mass communication and a writing certificate on the publishing track. Aside from my studies, I participated in multiple organizations on campus to enhance my skills as a writer, collaborator, and creative thinker. Below are links to my work for the digital publications VERVE, KRUI, Abridged, and the print arts and culture magazine on campus, Fools.
VERVE
VERVE is an online magazine run by University of Iowa students who are members of Ed on Campus, a chapter of Ed2010 (a national organization for college students pursuing careers in the magazine industry). Below are links to my work for VERVE.

Creative Pieces
My nonfiction essay, “A Boy”, was recently published in Abridged, a literary magazine at the University of Iowa. You can read “A Boy” here on pages 36-38.
Fools is an arts and culture magazine created by University of Iowa students. I wrote two articles for Volume 3 of Fools. Check out the magazine here and read my articles – a book review on Tuesday Nights in 1980 by Molly Prentiss (7-8), and “The (Actually) Valuable Hipster Trend” (27-28).
KRUI
KRUI is the University of Iowa’s radio station. I wrote a bi-monthly column on KRUI.fm titled, “The Alt-Rock Chick”, where I showcased the latest alternative rock music on the scene. Through album reviews, artist spotlights and playlists, I told readers what music they should put on their radar. I also covered concerts and festivals in Iowa City for KRUI. You can find my full KRUI portfolio here, and below are a few samples of my work.
